Wood Wind Golf Club is proud to have two highly talented, experienced teaching professionals leading Wood Wind Golf Academy. Together, Tim Tague and Jon Hoover offer over 58 years of professional teaching experience to Wood Wind Golf Academy. Tim and Jon's collective fields of expertise represent more than just two PGA Professionals. Their passion and desire for teaching will create a golf academy that meets the highest of standards in every facet of the game.

Tim Tague, Director of Instruction, Class A, PGA Member, LM
Tim Tague offers over 40 years of professional experience, including the past 24 years of teaching, conducting clinics and group lessons, seminars and golf schools over 10,000 golfers on the north side of Indianapolis. Tim also is a Certified Club Fitter with Mitchell Golf.   As a former Golf Digest instructor, Tim has local, regional and national students. He has studied under and with Jim Flick, Bob Toski, John Jacobs, Davis Love, Jr., Peter Kostis, John Elliott, Paul Runyon, Ben Doyle, Kyle Burton, Levi Lynch, Chuck Cook, Dick Plummer and DeDe Owens. Tim’s experience as a teaching professional is throughout the nation including the Royal Kaanapali golf courses, Maui, Hawaii and The Olympic Club, San Francisco, CA.      With Tim’s instruction, his students have won all major golf tours, including the PGA Tour, Champions Tour, Nationwide Tour, European Tour, South African Tour, Canadian Tour and South American Tour. In addition, Tim’s instruction has led to winners of the LPGA Tour as well as the NCAA Championships.
Jon Hoover, Instructor, Director of Fitting, Club Repair Technician, Class A, PGA Member
Jon Hoover offers students 18 years of professional experience and is an expert in club fitting and repair and computer analysis as well as an expert instructor. Jon holds certifications in Club Fitting for companies such as Mizuno, Ping, Callaway, and Mitchell Golf, Club Repair Technician with Mitchell Golf and is also certified with True Temper Shafts. He was twice awarded Indiana PGA Merchandiser of the Year (Orchard Ridge Country Club), and was a finalist for National PGA Merchandsier of the Year (Orchard Ridge Country Club). Jon’s well-rounded skill sets include being an accomplished golfer, as well as accomplishments in club sales.
Jeff Cook, Playing Professional, Strategy and Course Management for the advanced player
Jeff Cook comes to Wood Wind with impressive qualifications as a Playing Professional. Jeff is a Class A PGA Member A-3 and has played a variety of professional tours including: - the PGA Tour - Nationwide Tour (on Nationwide tour for 5 years...won a Nationwide event) - Indiana State Open, four-time champion Additionally, Jeff is serving (since 1997) as the Manager for Mizuno PGA Tour Operations.. His experience will be of great service to the advanced players at Wood Wind Golf Academy.
